  1. Got this neem oil to try to control red mite in my chickens. It came not in a bottle but in a white tub with tape around the side and a little had leaked but not much. The packaging had become wet.Its very gloopy like almost a runny mashed potato consistency. Some people hate the smell… I don’t mind it but be aware it is very strong smelling and a little odd. Its a bit like very strong oniony garlickyIt did help to control the red mites in a solution with other substances and also pests on plants. Tip to use it in this way is to put a couple of big spoons in a squirt bottle with a spoon of washing up liquid and then hot water. Shake it up and the wu liquid seems to keep the neem oil in the solution and makes it work better. I sprayed the inside of my coop with this NOT the chickens and it did help.I hear this can be used on wounds and grazes etc to heal and as a skin moisturiser and healer partly bc of its high vitamin E content and antiseptic nature but I’d advise diluting with coconut oil as its very strong and maybe adding an essential oil to mask the scent.

  2. I purchased this oil when I accidently ripped off my big toenail. It was soooo painful and the throbbing wouldn’t go away. My mom told me that neem oil w take the pain away. It worked!! I am a happy camper minus one toenail. 🙂

  3. This is a foul smelling product that seems to be working. I have a bald patch and thinning hair on top of my scalp. I’ve been using this for over a week (mixed 50/50 with coconut oil) and I’m seeing signs of new hair growth. I’m now waiting for my grey hairs to go black. Thank you very much for this. I’ll be buying some more in the near future.

  4. Neem is an excellent product for hair and scalp problems, inflammation, dermatitis, any kind of skin infection, pain and other conditions. This oil is virgin neem, thicker oil and more natural. It really does work and the product is great. However, be warned, this particular item is also dangerous. There are jagged edges on the neck of the pump top. The top itself does not pump and you have to remove it and use the oil from inside the bottle on a cloth or hand. The three jagged edges are very sharp and I was cut by these in three places, three long and one small cut, deep cuts. This was just trying to use the pump for the first time. I have attached a cloth to protect me when using it as it was an emergency and the product was needed straight away or it would have been returned. I have contacted the seller with this information as well.

  6. Using this to fight the green fly, I’ve only done the first application but it does look promising. Also as I did a bit of research I read that it relieves psoriasis, so I have made a bit of an ointment up and the first 24hrs have been promising, not so itchy, not so flaky, not so red. I am so glad I found this stuff and it will be really cheap to make up my own ointment if all goes well

  7. This is such a big bottle! It came well sealed (had to use a knife to pop it open). Yes, it does have a strong smell. It smells like burnt onions to me aha but I didn’t buy it for it’s scent. Yes, it is also somewhat lumpy but this isn’t a problem for me. Before I use it I place it next to my space heater for a bit to melt. I then can rub it between my palms to further melt any remaining lumps. None of the concerns others have had with the product really bother me too much. The pros definitely outweigh any minor inconveniences or off-putting smells. So far I’ve used it as a spot treatment for acne, added it to my shampoos for it’s hair and scalp benefits, and diluted it in water to use as an insecticide for my indoor plants. Love the versatility of this oil!

  8. I have been using for years this unseated libriderm lotion that I assumed was high quality. Well recently I’ve gone into a health quick. I drink lots of water work out use nice soaps eat healthy. Skin still dry. Slather on lotion. I noticed it kind of was tingly on my nether regions and my skin never felt hydrated. Well I’ve had this jojoba oil and essential oil for about a week now & let me tell you. My skin feels so so smooth. It’s like night and day. I will NEVER purchase lotion again. This stuff is amazing. I totally get the hype behind essential oils now. I’ve already had an encounter with an MLM pushing coworker, big Pass on that. The Gya stuff seems really nice. I hope it’s made In the US.

  9. It got rid of the spider mites on my outdoor plants with a few applications.

  10. I bought this on a recommendation to control spidermite on my garden plants. After only one application it did the job. I had to look online for the recommended amount to mix, but apart from that it is very straight forward to use.

  11. I have electric heat, so when I bring my plants in for the winter they suffer from the dry air. My dahlia got a powdery mildew on it that made its leaves dry up and fall off. All but one stalk died. I warmed the neem oil on a table over my heater, mixed a dropper of neem oil with a half a cup of water in a mister (didn’t mix well even with vigorous shaking) and heavily misted my plant, the soil, and the rim of the pot. Two days later I did it again, though I’m not sure it was necessary—the mildew is completely gone and my plant is getting huge and flowering! One bloom and 3 more buds so far!

  12. I suffer with Alopecia, and I wanted to do something about it. I massage the spot with oil every night. (Missed a couple of days) My hair loves the thick consistency. This oil has a strong smell, but it doesn’t bother me.

  13. Some bugs were eating my veggies and apple blossoms and there were also spots on the apple leaves (scab or black leaf spot?). I made up a spray of 1Tbsp of this neem oil in 1 gallon water with enough dish soap to emulsify the oil on shaking. One application spray stopped the apple tree’s problems and greatly reduce the holes on the veggies leaves. I would use and buy again! …. Neem oil does solidify if it gets cool. A quick soak of the bottle in a vase of hot water fixed it for me…. For those who reported spilled bottles, it seems the seller has listened and improved their packaging. My bottle arrived inside a ziplock bag, with seal OVER the cap and a seal UNDER the cap. Mine had no leaks at all! 🙂

  14. Used on our tomatoes and chillies plants to get rid of aphids – I was skeptical, but it completely worked!1. Mix 1 tablespoon Neem oil + 1 tablespoon washing up liquid + 1L water into a spray bottle.2. Spray generously all over the plant, including the underside of the leaves.3. Done! All our little insect friends were gone the next day.Obviously, check on a small part of your plant first, perhaps it will react badly, however we have used it on: tomatoes, chillies, courgettes, cucumbers, sprouts.Yes it smells quite unpleasant, but it doesn’t damage the environment, and you’re probably going to be using it outside / in garden anyway, so you won’t have to smell it long. The smell seems to stay on the plants for at max a day, then they go back to smelling normal 🙂

  15. I’ve used this once already on my tomatoes and have noticed no more leaves were being eaten. I even sprayed my Japanese maple because by the fall their leaves get eaten by bugs. I’m hoping that by applying this every so often, it might provide some protection to the tree too.The smell is of garlic and something earthy, but for me it wasn’t unbearable. The oil was of a liquid consistency, not hard as others experienced. However, I did notice that when the water from our hose (which was cold) was added with it, the oil got a little stiff. I was using the 1 gallon sprayer (also purchased from amazon) and so to ensure the water and oils stayed mixed I would shake the container every so often and then spray. I could see the oil filming at the top. Perhaps the next time this could be prepared during the day, leave in the sun and then use in the evening or just mix some warm water with it.Another thing I noticed is when I came outside the next morning, there was a residual smell in my garden of garlic. Again it wasn’t pungent and by mid-day the scent was gone.Overall I like how quickly it worked in ridding of pests, it’s natural and easy to use. I will be using this again this summer, the smell is not enough to deter me.

  18. I’ve tried different hair formulas to help with hair growth and while I’ve had mixed results, in the end, none of them worked. With this oil, I used it the day I got it and while I didn’t see anything within the first 48 hours, by the end of day 3, my scalp was a little itchy. Thinking I broke out into a rash, I checked my scalp where it was itchy. I wasn’t breaking out into a rash, but I saw little hairs sprout out which is why my scalp was a little itchy. Normally when I’ve seen little hairs grow, they were usually thin and would fall out almost immediately. With this oil, I didn’t have thin little hairs, they are thick full hairs. While they now kind of stick up when I brush my hair, the great thing is that they’re still there! I use this oil at night since it makes my hair a little greasy but what I love about this formula is a little goes a long way. When I put a drop on my scalp, I gently rub it into my scalp. There is a light scent but nothing strong. Extremely happy with my results and will continue to order this stuff!

  19. This is my second time purchasing this brand and am still pleased. I had bought a bottle from another seller and was disappointed in the quality.Neem really helps with my itchy scalp (I add it to my Castile liquid soap which is also my shampoo) and mix it with carrier oil or use straight to soothe my eczema. It’s also a great insecticide. I’m baffled by some of the bad reviews I’ve read. It would appear that many people buy neem not knowing much if anything at all about it, then are surprised or blame the product rather than their own ignorance. So to those reviewers, spoiler alert: 1) Neem oil won’t and shouldn’t smell like roses LOL! It’s aroma is rather pungent…think of a marriage between garlic and sulfur only more gentle. If it doesn’t smell pungent, it ain’t the real McCoy; 2) It should be solid at room temperature unless you live in a very hot climate. Just put it in a cup of very hot water (remember to remove the cap), and let it sit for a few minutes. It will liquefy. You can then use it directly, add it to your shampoo, moisturizer, carrier oil, or insect spray bottle. If you live in a cool place and it’s liquid, beware, unless you keep your house like a sauna; 3) Neem oil, I’m told, comes in a variety of shades depending on where it’s grown. It can range from golden to a very deep brown. I’ve only used the lighter variety. My one and only experience with a very dark “neem” oil turned out to not be neem as it remained liquid at 50 degrees. But I don’t think the color was the issue. Lastly, neem is not the only safe and natural insecticide. You can use a water/alcohol spray or make insecticidal soap (1 tablespoon oil, 1 teaspoon castile soap to 1 quart water….adding a little garlic and chili pepper is a plus…and repeat every few days to get eggs). Soothing skin/scalp options also include aloe vera, shea butter, cucumber and many others. Happy hunting!

  20. I use this for my plants. It’s the good quality one. Decent size, will last you for a long time. The bottle seems too thin for this content but it does not bother me or affect the product quality.

  21. Pure smelly neem oil! Bought to rub my plants down and is working great. Pricing is amazing compared to other ones I’ve bought, would definitely recommend:)

  22. I used this for my hair, and I no longer experience dandruff or itchy scalp. I suggest mixing with another oil. I mix with olive oil, grape seed oil and castor oil. This was my usual hair mix, but once I added the neem, the itching and dandruff went away. It’s a very potent oil, both in smell and texture.

  23. I use this in my homemade shampoo…great quality!

  24. I am using Neem oil as a topical treatment for my nails. My nails have never looked so good.

  25. This oil solidifies when cold and has worked very well .

  26. Kills gnats

  27. This is neem oil alright – it’s undeniable, based on the smell from the moment you open the bottle. Does neem oil smell terrible? ABSOLUTELY YES – it smells like garlic, rotten eggs, and mouldy peanuts. Does it work? YES! Like nothing else! What do I use neem oil for? Believe it or not, I use it for both my plants (pest eradication/prevention) and for my skin. While you have to be fairly brave to apply neem oil directly to your skin (did I mention that it stinks?) it WORKS like nothing else for acne. For plants, I have a designated neem oil spray bottle. I dilute 5mL neem oil (it’s solid at room temperature, just run the bottle under hot water to make it liquid), 2 mL of dish soap and about 1 liter of water. I spray my houseplants, leaves and around the base of the plant, and it really helps keep them pest free. It has even killed off spider mite infestations. For skin, neem oil is pretty incredible. It’s strong, so I usually apply it and then wash it off within a half hour. When applied to pimples, it causes them to shrink significantly. It also helps reduce skin redness. If you’re really brave, you can also use neem oil as mosquito repellent – works great (careful, the smell means that it’s a people repellent also, haha). This is a fair size bottle of neem oil for the price, a little goes a long way. It’s solid at room temperature (like coconut oil!) so I either run the bottle under a hot faucet or let it sit in a hot bowl of water for a few minutes. The dropper works well. No complaints from me, I would recommend this product.

  28. I use neem oil mainly as a natural form of pesticide on my houseplants. The previous big bottle of neem I purchased stunk my entire house out. Some people like me really don’t like this smell. This Neem Oil by Plant Life is different. It comes in a small 60ml bottle yet it’s much more potent than my previous neem oil. It’s also cold-pressed and 100% pure.I mainly use this oil to treat my house plants against pests like mealybugs. Once mealybugs settle in they are very difficult to get rid of. I’ve tried alcohol, different essential oils, and chemical pesticides, all to no avail. However, a teaspoon of neem oil, a few drops of liquid dish soap, and 500ml of water seem to work great. I spray this solution everywhere on the plant and sometimes directly into the soil. It works over a space of a couple of weeks. No more mealybugs! So overall, this is a pure, good quality product, that doesn’t smell as strong as other neem oils. Full marks from me!

  29.
